The September/October issue of Time Compression Technologies magazine includes a feature article, “Lean Manufacturing: How Big is the Market? Lean Enterprise: How Much Bigger is the Market?” authored by North America’s leading manufacturing journalist, Thomas R. Cutler (www.trcutlerinc.com).
Cutler provided a detailed history of the lean manufacturing marketing including how e-kanban solutions are central to an effective lean manufacturing initiative. According to Matthew Marotta, founder of Datacraft Solutions, “We do not charge for upgrades to the system as we learn about new best practices that clients ask us to incorporate. Before Datacraft incorporates the request, it is reviewed buy a lean advisory board to validate the value of the best practices and the value added impact upon our partner community. Once it is passed, they develop, test, and implement.”
The hosted solution provides the customer with their own set of servers which are maintained offsite by and outsourced set of administrators. All of the administration fees, equipment, support teams and software updates are all included in the monthly service fee which is less then the cost of hiring an internal system administrator.
The value of an ASP is that manufacturers can buy “by the drink”, low risk, and a see a rapid ROI. Only internet access is required.
The non-ASP option leaves manufacturers investing a large sum into the communication network, IT personnel, IT training, application servers, consulting for system modification, along with all the hidden costs that come with it. The only disadvantage of using an ASP is the client never owns the system (application), only their own data. This concern tends to be the issue of IT since they want to control all phases of the e-kanban operation. The cost of the control is wasteful and completely antithetical to a Lean Initiative.
While some ERP systems QAD, Factory Logic, and Supply Works have some e-kanban functionality is not their core focus, so manufacturers are purchasing the ERP system at a significant price tag including all the prices increases (and upgrade charges). From the perspective of Lean functionality and immediate ROI the cost cannot be justified, unless there is a plan for a manufacturer to replace the ERP system.

The thyroid is a small, butterfly shaped gland located at the front of the neck. The thyroid produces the thyroid hormones, including the two major ones, namely the tri-iodothyronine (T3) and thyroxine (T4), which are essential for regulating the metabolic activities, growth, and several other body functions.
The thyroid gland is divided into two halves or lobes, and is connected by a thin ‘bridge’ of thyroid tissue known as the isthmus. The thyroid is usually larger in women in comparison to men.
The pituitary gland, which is situated at the bottom of the brain, and produces the thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH), controls the functioning of the thyroid. TSH activates the thyroid to produce more thyroid hormones. Noted among the most widespread medical conditions, diseases of the thyroid gland are very common and affect millions of Americans. Thyroid disease occurs when the thyroid doesn’t supply sufficient hormones required by the body to carry out its various functions properly. As the symptoms of thyroid are often noticed over a period of time, they are usually misdiagnosed.
The three most common thyroid problems are the underactive thyroid, the overactive thyroid, and thyroid nodules. Overactive thyroid releases excessive thyroid hormone into the bloodstream, resulting in hyperthyroidism. Hyperthyroidism causes the body to use up energy more rapidly than it should, and chemical activities in the cells such as metabolism speeds up. In the case of underactive thyroid, the thyroid gland is attacked by the body’s immune system. Thyroid Nodules is a condition that begins as a small swelling or lumps in the thyroid gland. Other thyroid problems include inflammation of the thyroid gland, enlargement of the thyroid gland, and thyroid cancer.
In recent years, thyroid function tests have progressed significantly, allowing for diagnosis at an early stage, and better recovery rates than in the past.
Thyroid provides detailed information on Thyroid, Thyroid Cancer, Thyroid Disease, Thyroid Problems and more. Thyroid is affiliated with Cause Of Hypothyroidism.

Most business owners get so involved in the work of the business that there never seems to be enough time to do the necessary marketing. Even when business is good the owner must continue marketing because if he/she stops, the business eventually will stop too. Marketing your business simply means to nurture good relationships with your customers and potential customers so that they will buy from you again or they will refer you to others. Think about the kinds of things you enjoy doing and then use those activities in your marketing efforts. It is a great way to leverage your time.
1. If you like to do public speaking then let association and club program chairs know that you are available to speak. Invite your customers and potential customers to come to hear you when it is appropriate.
2. If you like to write, write a newsletter, book, article etc and distribute it to your prospects and customers.
3. If you like to dine at special restaurants, invite a client or strategic partner to join you.
4. If you like sporting events (baseball, football, tennis etc.) invite your prospect to watch a game with you.
5. If you like the theater or concerts, invite a prospect or client to go to a production with you.
6. If you have a strong feeling for a particular nonprofit and they have a benefit, invite a client or clients to join the festivities as your guest.
7. If you like to participate in a sport (golf, tennis, sailing) invite your client or prospect to participate with you.
8. If you like to entertain in your home, have a dinner party, brunch, or cocktail party for clients and prospects.
9. If you like to teach, run a workshop for prospects and clients to teach them something.
10. If you are someone who likes to do volunteer work, invite prospects and clients to work with you. (Houses built by Habitat for Humanity might be a great place to work on a project together. There are other nonprofits that give you an opportunity to work on a day or half day project.)

Once you have entered the dating arena, one term you will often hear women discuss is - the Player. While he is another “jerk”, the name Player is used very loosely by women. Since I was very keen to know what women actually meant when they describe a man by calling him a Player, I went ahead and interviewed dozens of women. What emerged from these interviews was a vague description of this character, nothing solid to form a definition. But reading between the lines, I think I have identified what is meant by that word.
Women call a man a Player, when he is identified as dating several women at the same time, with the sole intention of laying them, to satiate his libido. He does not evoke trust and normally women are a bit skeptical about any liaison with a man of such dubious reputation. These references often put a bit of fright and a sense of guilt in other men, limiting our choices to a single woman for dating. It is an irony that we start believing that Players are “Bad” men, from the loose references made by women who have met them or heard of them.
The title of a Player often rubs off on other men, as they equate him with having loose morals and infamous reputation, who lays women at the first available opportunity. Where we miss out is that none of us care to go deep into this man and learn what he is doing right! We simply brush him aside, with pre-conceived notions of him being another avoidable character, who just has this amazing caliber of artful seduction.
The crux of the whole issue is that don’t be judgmental and go just by the name “Player”, without understanding him or the subtlety behind this nomenclature.

Thanksgiving Day has finally arrived it is now time to do the last minute preparations, final cooking and welcoming of guests.
Thanksgiving Day:
Remove your prepared stuffing from the refrigerator and stuff your turkey. Place extra stuffing in a separate pan for roasting so that you will be sure to have plenty for all your guests. Make sure you allow ample time for your turkey to roast. If you have a large turkey and are stuffing it you will need to begin early in the day.
Prepare all your vegetables in the pans they will be cooked in. Boil and mash your potatoes, you will be able to reheat them just before serving.
Keep watch on your turkey. Just before time to take out your turkey do any last minute cooking that needs to be done. Also warm up any items that have been pre-cooked such as the parker house rolls and mashed potatoes.
When you remove the turkey from the oven allow it to rest for twenty minutes before serving.
This is the time to make your gravy.
Serve all your food, either on the table or buffet style. If you have guests asking to help allow them to fill the water glasses and to pour the wine. You can also allow them to help serve the food.
Finally and most important relax. Enjoy your day, this is Thanksgiving. Remember your root words ‘Thanks’ ‘Giving’.
” Oomph is the intricate inner feeling of that touch of power, unexplained yet real, that comes with the drinking of coffee”
I had been a long term tea drinker, preferring tea to any other beverage for years, until one day, I had a new assistant. I was working as a dealer representative for stocks and shares at that time, and that means in a really stressful environment, being in the trading room all the time. So taking some time off to catch a cuppa and to be back to trading and watching the trading screens for the best prices was the perfect break anyone could hope for.
My new assistant was a young lady in her mid twenties, and it was interesting to see her prepare her drink.
No, she wasn’t a tea drinker like me. Instead, she was a coffee fan, perhaps even an addict to coffee, you may say. On her first day at work, she took out of her handbag three packs of instant coffee 3 in 1 - namely instant coffee, sugar and non-dairy creamer, and then proceeded to empty the three packs into one cup, adding hot water, making a strong coffee. She wasn’t through yet, because she also opened another pack of chocolate powder and sprinkled the chocolate powder on to her hot coffee, creating a tremendous aromatic smell that pervaded the trading room.
That was some “oomph” in her coffee.
After a period of three months, I found I was suddenly drinking coffee myself and wasn’t a pure tea drinker anymore. It was a subtle conversion process, and soon I found I really need that coffee in the afternoon trading session.
Now, looking back, I have learnt a lot of techniques to add more “oomph” to my cup of coffee.
One way is to enhance the taste with some special add-on ingredients.
My most popular add-on ingredient is powdered gensing. Gensing is the traditional chinese herb which is a root, and american gensing is preferred to korean or chinese gensing. This herb makes one alert when taken, and is normally taken to strengthen one’s immune system or body. You can get the gensing powder from the Natural Herb Store or in the form of capsules that you can empty into a cuppa when you need the “oomph”.
Be reminded that the gensing root powder carries a somewhat bitter taste. So don’t equate quantity with more “oomph”. You just add sufficient to give you the enhanced aroma and the “oomph” you need.
Another way is to add the “tongkat ali” root powder, which may be slightly harder to obtain. This root is from an original plant in Malaysia and is a well researched herbal root with aphrodiasic features. The aborigines of the tropical jungles of Malaysia use this to enhance their “maniless” and this they prove by having big families. Commercially, you can get a bottle of this Tongkat Ali powder under the brand name “Power Root” throughout the world. Just add a small pinch and you will find the difference in your taste and feel the subsequent well-being.
Now you can have that extra edge and “oomph” when you next take your coffee, irregardless whether it is an espresso or a latte.
Peter Lim is a Certified Financial Planner and a self awowed coffee drinker. To prepare the best espresso and cappucino you need the best coffee maker. To discover the best of coffee makers and more tips to make your espresso and cappucino taste heavenly and with more “oomph!”, visit his site “Saeco Espresso Cappucino Machines” at http://saeco.revenuemonitor.biz
“Some people suffer in silence louder than others.”
-Morrie Brickman
More often than not, many people do spend undue time in the circles of emotional distress by choice.
The choice may or may not be a conscious one.
The resulting personal turmoil expenditure endangers every single part of our well being.
The price tag itself is obviously the highest one of all the payments
we can make in life - the currency of the limited time that we have here.
Don’t get me wrong here, though. There is also something called “The Courses of Adversity”.
They give us the chance of getting beyond the ordinary. While reaching beyond the usual and
graduating in good standing from the quests, we receive awards of priceless perceptions and awareness.
On the other hand, “perpetual stress and tension” is hardly a sign of lifetime awards.
When we experience stress day in and day out, would it be worth noticing and examining
the possibility that something is keeping us away from the more effortless way of life?
Let’s take a look at 3 Tricky Traps of Stress and how to outsmart them even if you think
you are close to a nervous breakdown. There is such a thing as stress relief and it is
closer to you than you may think or imagine right now.
Trap One:
“I am handling stress very well!” - Perpetually.
Tip:
That’s a very popular phrase nowadays. Have you been saying it lately
with a tinge of defensiveness in your voice?
Have others been giving you clues that the opposite is what’s really happening?
Do you brave heading to burn out and is it worth it?
Is it the time for you to discover new awareness skills of “mastering life”
instead of forever looking for “ways to relieve stress”?
It’s all possible just for the asking.
That’s just how you can start. If you need a helping hand with this,
ask those you trust directly, “What’s one single thing you see or feel
I can change about myself that will help me decrease the level of stress I have been experiencing?”
Trap Two:
Looking for answers “out there” instead of asking the right questions “within”.
Tip:
When you get into the habit of asking yourself the right questions, your mind has a duty
to supply you with the answers that are right for you.
Take a look; a few examples for you:
What is an excellent question example that I need to ask right now?
What is the right answer to that question?
How is this article beneficial for me?
What else is happening?
What else do I need to notice?
What else about my life do I need to improve?
The solutions to your stress-creating problems will start to pour from within you …
if you are willing to simply listen.
One way to do it is by adopting quieting techniques into your daily schedule while trusting the new process.
Trap Three:
Wishful Thinking - “If I ignore stress, it will go away!”
Tip:
The fact is it will never leave you, if you think someone else or a miracle is going to be the fix.
Moreover, it will cling on and on the more you choose to respond to it the same way
you’ve always been. Your choice of response to stress is what gives it life … or not.
On a helpful note, keep in mind that stressful circumstances are NOT absolute facts.
You do have the power to train your brain (about anything) in a way that serves you
rather than enslaves you.
Focusing the power of your mental attention to
what IS going right and what you DO want as reality in you life will,
over time, produce a magnificent and life-changing obsession of creating a lifetime in superior flow :).

So you’re looking at some slow business days? Instead of mindless clicking or blowing all your hard-earned cash at the mall, write web articles to promote your company website.
Did you know? Articles are one of the most enjoyable Search Engine Optimization tricks around. In fact; if you’re really into the article marketing thing, you can easily get into an article writing frenzy where you’re writing as many as seven articles a day. Yes, much like that old childhood favorite, your one article can quickly become two little, three little, four little articles… five little… you get the idea.
Become known as the expert.
Sure, you know it’s a great idea to post informative articles on your website. But don’t stop there. Get in on the article marketing action and share your business savvy with intrepreneurs who will soon look to you as The Guy With All the Answers. And, the articles don’t have to stop at “Your Website.” Smart article marketers know that to reach your audience of article readers, you’ve got to hit all the hottest article distribution sites, plus contact specialized sites personally and convince them to run your articles in their blogs, on their article pages and in their monthly newsletters.
Join an article distribution site.
The easiest place to get on an article writing roll is by creating a membership with an article syndication or distribution site. Read a handful of articles from other authors to get the feel of what people are reading these days. Do some keyword searching to find the hottest search terms. Select topics that you’re comfortable with, and that can just roll right out of you and onto the document page.
Think of articles as web copy.
Think short and sweet. In fact; don’t think of your articles as articles at all! This is not magazine writing 101, this is web articles - and web articles are really web copy. I cannot say this enough times. So when you write your articles, train your mind to think “I am writing web copy” and then just do a simple How To, Reasons Why or “5 or 7 Tips” style article with a few paragraphs containing just a couple sentences each.
Create an author bio that will impress people.
When you get to the end of the article, write an author bio that will establish you as an authority in your field. You ARE an authority, yes? Well of course you are… or you wouldn’t be able to write articles so easily and effortlessly. Include a live URL in your author bio. Tell people to click. Yes, you must tell them. People are silly, they forget to do the simplest things.
Go for “freestyle articles.”
On a day when you have absolutely zero going on (okay, is there ever really a day like that?) just take some time to reflect upon your recent experiences for a bit. After you’ve reached your epiphany, start cranking out those articles. It doesn’t really matter what the topic is or if you stick to one category or branch out to alternate niches. The idea here is to just free your mind and let the articles pour out.
Writing articles is good for your soul, and good for your business! But if you’re just not a writer, there is another way. Call up someone who will ghostwrite your articles for you. Heck, I can do that. Maybe you should call me.

Everyone seems to have their own secret or strategy or trick to making money in the stock market. Here are two strategies that have helped many people.
1. It’s your time, how do you want to spend it?
Some people suggest high risk investments and watch them all day. Others say that simply buying good quality mutual funds and hanging onto them for a long time is the best option.
One of the deciding factors for you in developing your investment strategy should be the amount of time that you are willing to spend on monitoring your investments. There is nothing wrong with investing in high-risk investments if you have the time to spend researching, analyzing, and monitoring the price movement. There’s also nothing wrong with the “buy and hold” method, if you do not have the time to spend on watching your investments.
The people who have been very successful in investing are able to match their investment style with the amount of time they can spend on investing.
2. It’s your money, how much can you risk?
The people who have lost everything on the stock market were not careful at managing their money. The stock market is not a gamble, if you’re careful. But you need to be careful in what you buy and how much you buy.
You can decide what is right to buy based on the amount of time you want to spend in the market. Knowing how much to buy is another issue. Don’t put more into your higher risk stocks than you’re willing to lose!
You may find greater safety in buying mutual funds or bonds and if you have money you don’t want to see disappear, those are probably good options for you. If you are sitting on your children’s education fund, you probably do not want to be sinking that in stocks that could potentially gain or lose as much as 50% in a day!
Knowing how much time you have to spend on your portfolio and how much you are willing to risk are two strategies that can help you make wise financial decisions when it comes to investing.

Almost all real estate transactions are processedthrough something called an “Escrow”. But what theheck is that?
Escrow is a neutral party that holds funds, acts upon
documents and follows the instructions of the parties
to a real estate transaction.
The escrow holder takes written instructions from
sellers, buyers, lenders, inspectors and others.
Those instructions define the terms and conditions under which the transaction will be completed.
In most states escrow can only be handled by a licensed corporation or an attorney. In some areas most escrows
and transaction settlement are handled by the same
company the writes the title insurance.
Escrow reduces the risk to both buyer and seller.
The Escrow Company, Title Company or Attorney Acts as:
- A custodian for funds and documents.
- A clearing house for payments of all demands.
- An agency to perform the clerical details between parties.
A title insurance company issues a preliminary title report
that shows the ownership details of a specific parcel of
land and lists title defects, liens and encumbrances.
The report might also show recorded restrictions which
have been placed in a prior deed. The report can also show
details of any covenants, conditions and restrictions (CC&Rs)
contained in a prior deed. These can limit the use of the property.
The report gives the buyer the chance to ask the seller to
remove any item disclosed in the preliminary title report that
he finds objectionable prior to purchase.
Title insurance is real estate ownership insurance.
It insures an owner’s rights and interests. Title polices are
issued to both the buyer and the lender.
An Escrow Officer’s Responsibilities include:
Reviews preliminary report
Provides copies of preliminary report to all parties
Receives and prepares seller’s & buyer’s escrow instructions
Receives buyer’s funds for escrow
Arranges hazard insurance with buyer
Complies with lender’s instructions
Arranges new loan funding with lender
Prepares documents and special instructions
Records documents with county recorder
Disburses monies and documents to the appropriate parties
Prepares final closing statements for buyers and sellers
Issues title insurance policy.
It is good practice to read every document you will besigning before the day of closing. You can arrange this withyour escrow officer. Make notes of everything you don’t understand and ask the escrow officer to explain.
During peak home selling periods escrow holders are often
swamped with work and miss the scheduled closing date by a fewdays. If you plan on that happening it won’t be a problem.
